GIRLS GET AWEAR Campaign
Girls Get AWEAR is a campaign that Layla and her mom (Cheri) are starting in order to raise awareness about issues that mean a lot to them.
Layla was misdiagnosed several times with various ailments, afflictions, etc. when trying to understand some of the personal struggles that surfaced when she was about seven years old. Through sensory therapy, leaning strongly on faith and prayer and, finally, putting a stop to all the meds, tests and other would-be cures and approaching her isses in a more holistic fashion, the family learned not only to cope -but to give Layla the skills she needs to exist peacefully in this world. Every day is hard work, but every day is also a success.
Unfortunately, families that battle autism, cancer and many other issues, don't always have the experience Layla's family has. The endless struggles, finances, tests, searches for answers and treatments can sometimes be quite endless. Children all around the world face is

sues that Layla never even skimmed the surface of. The lesson for her family? Being aware, tolerant and of course, active. Blessings are abundant and we should pay it forward whenever and whereever possible...
In this campaign, it is Layla and Cheri's hope that they can get girls of all ages to be aware of the impacts of cancer, mental health and autism on their friends, families and communities-at-large. The idea? Put keychains, jewelry and

other fashion-friendly accessories out there for this younger generation. Maybe, through compassion and awareness, conversations will happen. Tolerance will happen. Help will happen.
To kickstart these element of the Girls Get Awear campaign, we are contacting
The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research ,
the Breast Cancer Research Foundation and the National Autism Association to find out where
and how we can help further. For now, 25% of all profits from the Girls Get Awear campaign will be set aside and then donated to these organizations.
